Are you teaching a Spanish 4 or Pre-AP  class and need lesson plans?  This unit called “Hispanos influyentes” includes EVERYTHING you need to teach this Spanish class unit, including AP Test Prep to start getting your Pre-AP and Spanish 4 students ready for the AP Spanish test! Reading, writing, speaking, listening and cultural activities are all included, along with step by step lesson plans, homework assignments, assessments and answer keys.  Save your time and energy for the millions of other things teachers must do!

Topics in this unit are broken down into 3 genres of influential people:

Athletes: Leo Messi, Roberto Clemente, Rebeca Andrade and Paola Espinosa

Creatives: Salma Hayek, Oscar de la Renta and Frida Kahlo

Activists: Simón Bolívar, Rigoberta Menchú and Che Guevarra 

Students will participate in new learning through a number of different kinds of engaging activities both alone and in collaboration with others!

 These lesson plans are designed for about 7 weeks (5 classes a week) for students ready for more advanced Spanish.  They are written day by day, week by week, in a logical sequence.  Each activity is linked into the lesson plans, so you don’t need to go searching for what you need.  Everything is made with Google Docs or Google Slides, so you can modify if you want or need to change anything!

These lesson plans combine all of the best practices of World Language Instruction.  Grammar is embedded into comprehensible input, but specific notes and practices for grammar are also provided.  There are TONS of contextualized practices to increase proficiency as well as activities that mimic tasks required on the AP Spanish Exam.
